Electric Vehicles: A Growing Opportunity in Georgia
This report evaluates the implications of a $2,500 tax credit for the purchase of an electric vehicle (EV) in Georgia. The analysis shows that state tax credit would lead to additional EV purchases, boosting economic growth in Georgia within the vehicle sector in the form of jobs, labor income and total GDP – including new vehicle construction, hardware manufacturing, electrical equipment specific to electric vehicles, as well as scientific and technical services.
