SUMMARY:Leveraging Energy Efficiency for Equity: Navigating Impacts on Low-Income Communities
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an in-depth discussion on how energy efficiency initiatives can influence home values\, community dynamics\, and equity in low-income areas. This webinar will explore the latest research findings from Elevate on the intersection of energy efficiency\, equity\, and community development\, offering valuable insights into both the positive and unintended impacts of these upgrades. \nOur expert panel will discuss key strategies to address equity and displacement concerns in energy efficiency programs. Learn about effective anti-displacement measures and policy interventions that can help prevent the unintended consequences of well-meaning initiatives. \nParticipants will gain actionable recommendations for state energy offices and other stakeholders to promote equitable access to the benefits of energy efficiency. We’ll explore how to integrate anti-displacement policies and practices into existing and future programs to ensure that all communities—especially those most vulnerable—can thrive.
